Gene’n Genie has been functioning as a metabolic nutrition practice since 2017, with its name and identity formally established through trademark registration on 5 April 2024. Over this time, the practice has grown around one central idea: that dietary care for chronic metabolic conditions should be a sustained clinical relationship, not a single transaction.
How care unfolds
A patient’s journey with Gene’n Genie typically begins with a detailed individual assessment — reviewing medical history, current metabolic status, relevant investigations, lifestyle circumstances and food preferences. From this, a personalised dietary plan is developed, taking into account the patient’s clinical condition, cultural food practices, and day-to-day practicality, since a plan that cannot be followed is of little clinical value.
Care does not end at the point the plan is handed over. Patients are followed up through scheduled consultations and structured follow-up calls conducted by trained staff, allowing plans to be adjusted as circumstances, results and responses evolve.
This ongoing monitoring is central to how Gene’n Genie works — dietary therapy for chronic metabolic disease is rarely a fixed prescription; it is a process that needs to be observed, measured and refined over time.
Digital support
To support this continuity, Gene’n Genie has developed its own digital platform, The Original Diet, which assists with dietary monitoring, communication between patients and the care team, and ongoing follow-up between consultations. It is designed to keep patients connected to their care plan in the periods between visits, reinforcing the idea that metabolic nutrition is a continuous process rather than a series of isolated appointments.
Where care is provided
Gene’n Genie currently provides in-person consultations at two locations in Tamil Nadu:
- Salem — Sri Surakksha Hospital, near Thiruvagoundanur Bypass, Junction Main Road, Salem, Tamil Nadu.
- Dharmapuri — Tesla Scans, near Weavers’ Colony Bus Stop, Dharmapuri, Tamil Nadu.
Online consultations are also available, allowing patients outside these regions — or those who prefer remote care — to access the same personalised assessment, planning and follow-up process.
